Our story begins in 2015 when Kim and Annette met in the fast-paced fashion industry. Over late nights and early mornings, they curated beautiful collections of pieces, honing their passion for design. As their careers in fashion naturally evolved, they each pursued individual paths that aligned with their creative strengths.
Kim transitioned to an independent design firm, where she gained expertise in residential and commercial interior design. Her specialization includes space planning, architectural selections, and home furnishings—skills she continues to perfect today.
Meanwhile, Annette's journey led her to real estate, where she earned her license and became a successful home seller. Throughout her career, she discovered her true calling for interiors by designing homes for her clients, combining her love for design with her real estate expertise.
In 2018, Kim and Annette reunited to launch Smith & Ryan Interior Design, combining their unique skills and shared passion for beautiful, functional spaces. As moms of two young girls each, they bring a deep understanding of how thoughtful design can support real, everyday living. Their work reflects a balance of beauty and practicality—creating environments that are as family-friendly as they are timeless.
