Lanie’s love for design started at a young age. She was always rearranging and restyling her childhood bedroom, experimenting with colors, patterns, and layouts. Her parents noticed her love of the art and encouraged her to pursue her passion while applying to colleges with Interior Design programs.
In 2015, Lanie received her degree in Interior Design with a minor in Architecture from Texas Tech University. After graduation, she moved to Houston, where she gained invaluable experience working with award-winning firms specializing in both residential and hospitality design. These early years helped her develop a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for how design shapes human experiences.
A few years later, Lanie returned to West Texas to establish her own residential design firm, Lanie K Interiors. Her work has been celebrated for its timeless aesthetics and personalized approach. Lanie is recognized for her commitment to creating spaces that are both functional and visually inspiring.
Lanie is a firm believer that good design goes beyond what meets the eye. She passionately advocates for its ability to influence mental, emotional, and physical well-being, enhancing the spaces where people live, work, play, and heal. Lighting, in particular, holds a special place in her design process, as she sees it as a powerful tool to set mood, define spaces, and bring life to a design.
When designing a home, Lanie strives to craft designs as unique as her clients, seamlessly blending functionality with beauty. Married with two children and a third on the way, she understands the importance of creating spaces that are as practical as they are personal. Her mission is to ensure every home she designs reflects her clients’ lifestyles, needs, and dreams.
