Bay Area native and residential designer, Emily Kates, established her eponymous business in 2014 after a rewarding tenure as the Design Director of one of San Francisco’s premiere firms.
Emily largely credits her design sensibilities to having spent her first 22 summers living in her family' s homes dotting both the vast English landscape, as well as the beautiful city of Bombay India. She has come to be known for her polished, yet approachable custom homes, always with a nod to fresh, classic style. Emily brings projects to life with her signature use of warm, soft color, pattern play, and thoughtful architectural details woven into every element of her homes.
A proud two-time LUXE Magazine Gold List Honoree, Emily’s work has also been published in RUE, Homes & Garden, CA Home & Design and Silicon Valley Modern Luxury among others.Emily proudly engages on every aspect of her projects, from initial architectural concept through to turn-key furnishings- guiding clients from dirt to dreams!
